Digital Product Passport (DPP) compliance, which is becoming mandatory in Europe
– Proving authenticity and traceability and helping to realize the circular economy
September 22, 2025
Digital Platformer, Inc. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Kazutaka Matsuda, CEO; hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) has launched “my gLog,” a blockchain solution optimized for the Japanese market, utilizing the Digital Product Passport (DPP) platform developed by Genuino Blockchain Technologies S.r.l. (headquartered in Cagliari, Italy; Gabriele Bernasconi, CEO; hereinafter referred to as “Genuino”). (headquartered in Cagliari, Italy, CEO Gabriele Bernasconi, “Genuino”), has launched a blockchain solution optimized for the Japanese market, “my gLog” (“G Log”), utilizing the Digital Product Passport (DPP) platform developed by Genuino.

Against the backdrop of the trend toward mandatory DPP in the EU, this initiative will ensure the authenticity of products and realize traceability throughout the entire life cycle, and will serve as a digital infrastructure that presents reliable information to consumers and business partners. Furthermore, by utilizing and sharing traceability information, the system contributes to the realization of a circular economy, which aims to reuse, repair, and recycle products.
G-Log provides solutions to corporate issues such as authenticity, transparency, and sustainability in diverse fields including food, beverage, apparel, crafts, parts/materials, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. Through collaboration with corporate IDs, the G-log will be developed as a next-generation supply chain infrastructure that enables consistent certification of processes from manufacturing, processing, distribution, and disposal.
What is “G Log”?
G Log is a solution localized for the Japanese market by a digital platformer, utilizing Genuino’s platform, which has a proven track record of DPP implementation in Europe. It records information on the entire lifecycle of a product, from raw materials, manufacturing and distribution processes, to repair, reuse, and disposal, in a blockchain and visualizes it in a tamper-proof manner.
In Europe, Genuino is being used as a DPP for wine, apparel, furniture, auto parts, and other fields, and compliance with the new EU system is underway. In the Japanese market, Genuino can be used to provide evidence of a product’s origin, environmental impact, distribution history, etc., and can be useful in building trust for SDGs compliance, ESG investment, and import/export transactions.
G Log Solution Site:
Examples of use to date: wine, apparel, etc.
G-logging is already being introduced in the beverage and food sectors, particularly for EU exports such as wine, where the following information is recorded on a product-by-product basis:
- Grape variety, harvest date, and vineyard location
- Brewing method, aging period and bottling date
- Person responsible for production, storage conditions, and shipping routes
- QR code display that can be verified with a smartphone
- All data is NFTed and recorded in the blockchain

It can be used to guarantee product authenticity, prevent counterfeiting, support cross-border e-commerce, strengthen brands through storytelling, and even prove reuse history during redistribution. Similar mechanisms can be deployed for sake, traditional crafts, organic foods, daily necessities, etc.
Future Prospects: Corporate ID Collaboration and the Foundation for a Recycling-Oriented Society
By utilizing DID/VC (Distributed ID/Verifiable Credential) technology and linking G-logs with corporate IDs, digital platformers will build an infrastructure that can prove not only product information but also the authenticity of companies and individuals involved in manufacturing and distribution.
This is expected to be utilized in the following areas
- Promote circular economy by recycling products and recording repair histories
- Transparency and accountability in multi-company joint supply chains
- Present evidence of ESG/environmental regulations and green procurement compliance
- Utilization for international trade, export control, and supplier management
The digital platform will accelerate the social implementation of G-log as a digital infrastructure that contributes to solving these social issues.
