April 1, 2025
Tokyo, Japan – Digital Platformer Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Ikkei Matsuda) is pleased to announce that its fintech solution “CreA” has been selected as a grant recipient under the FY2024 TOKYO Strategic Innovation Promotion Program, operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Small and Medium Enterprise Support Center.
About the Program
The Strategic Innovation Promotion Program supports Tokyo-based SMEs and startups that leverage core technologies in partnership with external experts—including companies, universities, and research institutes—to develop innovative products and solutions. The goal is to encourage entry into high-growth sectors and strengthen Tokyo’s position as a global innovation hub.
Why CreA Was Selected
Digital Platformer has delivered blockchain-based digital ID and stable digital currency solutions to governments and financial institutions in Japan. Through ongoing discussions with music industry leaders—Mr. Hidenori Nakai (Music Business Association of Japan) and Mr. Tetsuichi Yamaguchi (Studio ENTRE)—the company has been addressing long-standing inefficiencies in copyright management and royalty distribution. These collaborations have been ongoing for over two years.
Project Details
- Innovation Map Theme: Realizing Tokyo as a global tourism and financial city
- CreA Development Theme: A platform that connects copyright management with bank-issued stablecoins to enable automated, real-time royalty distribution
CreA is the world’s first platform to automate royalty payments based on streaming data and copyright metadata using smart contracts and deposit-backed stablecoins. Traditionally, royalty payments have taken up to a year to reach creators. CreA reduces this timeframe to as little as one week by linking three core systems: copyright management, play count tracking, and smart contract-based payout automation.
Starting with services like advanced royalty payments and creator lending, CreA aims to modernize the entire music copyright ecosystem for the digital age and prepare it for global scalability.

CEO Comment
“We’re honored to be selected for this program, and excited to offer a fintech-powered solution to the complex and outdated structures of the music industry. CreA enables fair, fast, and transparent revenue sharing, and represents a bold step toward a global, creator-first economy.”
— Ikkei Matsuda, CEO, Digital Platformer Inc.
Next Steps
- In FY2025, the company will begin a proof-of-concept with professional music creators to test real-time royalty distribution.
- From FY2026 onward, the company will begin evaluation toward full-scale implementation with domestic creators and music publishers.
- By FY2027, CreA will expand into monetization of derivative (n-th generation) works and global royalty flows using cross-border stablecoin interoperability.
