Digital Platformer Appoints Taikiyo Igarashi as Director and Chief Evangelist

Digital Platformer, Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kazutaka Matsuda) is pleased to announce the appointment of Taisei Igarashi as Director Chief Evangelist, effective December 1, 2025.
Igarashi has played a key role in the launch of the National Bank of Cambodia’s Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), Bakong, as a key developer of the Hyperledger Iroha blockchain infrastructure. Bakong has been internationally recognized as one of the world’s leading success stories, growing from launch to 30 million accounts and $151 billion (approx. USD 15B) in annual transactions in just 4 years, 3.3 times the size of Cambodia’s GDP.
In recognition of his global financial infrastructure development experience and deep knowledge of the digital trust field, he has been appointed as Chief Evangelist, responsible for communicating the company’s technology philosophy and product value.
Hyperledger Iroha was designed as a distributed ledger infrastructure that features a simple and reliable architecture and meets strict requirements for financial and public institutions. As a core member of the project, Igarashi designed core components such as consensus algorithms, block generation, and identity management functions, and has a proven track record of supporting CBDC implementations in Cambodia.
Igarashi’s appointment as Chief Evangelist is in recognition of his many years of contributions and activities in Japan and the Asia region.
