In this session, we will discuss the multifaceted possibilities of tokenized deposits (Deposit Token) and stable coins, which are attracting attention domestically and internationally, as next-generation payment infrastructures.
Mr. Sakakibara of Circle, issuer of the USD denominated stablecoin USDC, Mr. Okabe of JPYC, issuer of Japan’s first fund transferable yen denominated stablecoin JPYC, and Mr. Kamimoto of N.Avenue, an expert in the Web3 and crypto asset industry through CoinDesk Japan and other organizations, will be speaking. They will discuss the outlook for regulation, implementation, and the ecosystem from the perspectives of digital currency issuers, media, and technology providers.
From the perspective of having promoted the social implementation of stablecoin based on bank deposits, Digital Platformer CEO Matsuda will speak about a new payment model combining digital currency and decentralized ID (DID), and present a vision for the future of the domestic financial infrastructure.
